چکیده

A grid network version of the two-layer Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC-2L) macroscale hydrological model is described. The VIC-2L model is a hydrologically-based SVAT (Soil Vegetation Atmospheric Transfer) scheme designed to represent the land surface in numerical weather prediction and climate models. It is coupled to a linear routing scheme which is optimized with measured precipitation and streamflow data and is derived independently from the VIC-2L model. In this way it is possible to utilize streamflow measurements for the validation of coupled atmospheric-hydrological models. A baseflow separation routine is used to derive an equivalent description between the VIC-2L model and the routing model.

Regional scale hydrology: II. Application of the VIC-2L model to the Weser River, Germany

This paper describes the application of a grid network version of the twolayer Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC-2L) macroscale hydrological model. The VIC-2L model is implemented on a rotated grid, which is compatible with the weather forecast and climate model REMO (Regional Model), a joint project of the German Weather Service (DWD), GKSS Research Centre and the Max-PlanckInstitute for Met...

Development of a coupled soil erosion and large‐scale hydrology modeling system

[1] Soil erosion models are usually limited in their application to the field scale; however, the management of land resources requires information at the regional scale. Large‐scale physically based land surface schemes (LSS) provide estimates of regional scale hydrologic processes that contribute to erosion. If scaling issues are adequately addressed, coupling an LSS to a physically based ero...

Characterization of Errors in a Coupled Snow Hydrology–Microwave Emission Model

Traditional approaches to the direct estimation of snow properties from passive microwave remote sensing have been plagued by limitations such as the tendency of estimates to saturate for moderately deep snowpacks and the effects of mixed land cover within remotely sensed pixels. An alternative approach is to assimilate satellite microwave emission observations directly, which requires embeddin...

Modeling methane emissions from the Alaskan Yukon River basin, 1986–2005, by coupling a large-scale hydrological model and a process-based methane model

[1] Much progress has been made in methane modeling for the Arctic. However, there is still large uncertainty in emissions estimates due to the spatial variability in water table depth resulting from complex topographic gradients, and due to variations in methane production and oxidation due to complex freezing and thawing processes. Here we extended an extant methane emission module within a b...

Multimodal Transportation p-hub Location Routing Problem with Simultaneous Pick-ups and Deliveries

Centralizing and using proper transportation facilities cut down costs and traffic. Hub facilities concentrate on flows to cause economic advantage of scale and multimodal transportation helps use the advantage of another transporter. A distinctive feature of this paper is proposing a new mathematical formulation for a three-stage p-hub location routing problem with simultaneous pick-ups and de...
